One thing that I am already good at in Spanish would be the greeting and the basics. I can pronounce them very well and can understand when there spoken out loud. I am able to put together simple sentences, with the few words and phrase I know. An example being: Hola, buenos dias. Como te llamas? Como esta? . The most challenging part of speaking and developing in Spanish would be understanding the sentence structure. Being able to correctly form a sentence in Spanish is something I struggle with. Using the proper past verbs, present verbs and conjugations to make the correct sentences. The difference in the two languages of English and Spanish don't share the same placement of words, which effects the understanding of Spanish to me. What I can imagine practicing Spanish outside of the classroom to increase my vocabulary and comfortability would be using the app and website duolingo. It will allow me to get an understanding of the simple and challenging words used a lot within the Spanish language. It can also allow me to grow in my confidence of Spanish and allow me to adapt to the new and challenging language. My partner within this video was Emma, I would like to shout out her because she was a very understanding and helpful partner. She was always willing to help me improve on my Spanish and allowed me to move at a good speed. Her Spanish was pronounced at her very best and made sure to share the air within the whole minute. She was a great partner to work with on this Spanish video.
Video Numbero Dos Reflection
My partner within this video was Emma, I would like to shout out her as a partner because she tried very hard to understand and pronounce the new and challenging words within this video. She was always willing to practice and strengthen our Spanish conversation. She also brought great and helpful ideas to the create an interesting and entertaining conversation. Emma was also a very encouraging and motivating partner. I believe bright spots within this video were the creativity and freedom we had to create a conservation on anything we wanted. I feel that it allowed me to get comfort with Spanish terms, phrases, and words that I would mostly use. Another bright spot would be learning more about the past terms and the conjugation change that happen with specific words when speaking. Something that worked very well was the creation of the script and conversation. Together as a partnership we were able to come up with ideas that we both enjoyed and felt were interesting. One thing that didn't work was our location and time. Half way into our video we were interrupted by children who were screaming and running around in the background. The background volume became very loud and at times it was a bit harder to hear exactly was we were saying. What I am looking forward into the next video would be the idea of film becoming an important part within the video. Being to create a short story but at the same time incorporating the Spanish language within it. I am looking forward to working with new and different people, hopefully working more as a group and less of partnerships. Finally, I am looking forward to finding a unique way of display my knowledge of Spanish through my own personal film.
